A residential-led development for 135 dwellings at Hailsham in East Sussex has received a resolution to grant outline planning consent. Working on behalf of Taylor Wimpey, CSA provided urban design and landscape services. An essential element of the project was the delivery of a 5.58 hectare environmental mitigation area to provide landscape mitigation and enhancement measures, improved habitat connectivity and new recreational activities. An important part of CSA’s task was to demonstrate how the masterplan that accompanied the outline planning application could be developed at the detailed design stage to accommodate sufficient car parking in accordance with the County Council’s parking demand calculator.
