CSA’s urban design, landscape and ecology teams have assisted their client, Hallam Land Management, in the preparation of an outline planning application for 600 dwellings at Wellingborough in Northamptonshire. The proposals for the 31 hectare site also include the provision of nearly 10 hectares of green infrastructure centred upon the creation of a new central green to provide a focal point for the new homes. The proposals for the site had to pay careful attention to the provision of new routes that tied in with an adjacent park in order to create an integrated piece of new townscape. Determination of the planning application is expected in the first part of 2016.
