Key planning approvals for Stowmarket site

In recent weeks, two key planning applications have received consent at the Chilton Leys site in Stowmarket, Suffolk. In early July, Mid Suffolk District Council approved a detailed planning application for the construction of the principal road and utilities infrastructure required to support the next phases of development at the 800 home extension of Stowmarket. Towards the end of the same month, the Council resolved to approve the outline planning application for the remaining 600 dwellings at Chilton Leys.

CSA, who have been involved on the Chilton Leys project for many years on behalf of Taylor Wimpey, provided urban design, landscape, ecology and heritage advice on both successful planning applications. The completed Chilton Leys site will see the delivery of around 800 new homes supported by a new primary school, new playing fields and a sports pavilion, an employment area and a new local centre.
