70 homes approved on appeal in Cambridgeshire

An inspector has granted outline permission for a 70 homes development at Swavesey in Cambridgeshire, despite South Cambridgeshire District Council’s assertion that the proposed development would be unsustainable due to its impact on the village’s services and infrastructure. The inspector found that the proposed development would make appropriate provision to mitigate such impact and that the social benefit of increasing housing supply would be ‘significant’.

CSA, who were instructed to work on the project on behalf of Swavesey Ventures Ltd, provided urban design and landscape services on the preparation of the planning application which was subject to the appeal.
