Last month a team of CSA riders (Left-Right: Joanne, Mark, Becca and Silke) took on the challenge of Prudential RideLondon to fundraise for Thrive – a really worthwhile national charity where we see a connection to the landscape work we undertake as a practice. Thrive supports around 1,400 people who are living with disability, ill health, isolation or vulnerability each year by involving them in gardening projects which bring about positive changes.
The ride was a gruelling 100-mile route with leg-testing climbs, following a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics. Despite the torrential rain, during what has been one of the hottest summers, the team made it all the way to the finish with a medal, smile and over £1150 raised for Thrive. www.justgiving.com/fundraising/csaenv
But we haven’t stopped there… This September, Ali will ‘Run for Thrive’ and take on the challenge of the New Forest Marathon. We wish you all the best of luck Ali. You can support Thrive and follow Ali’s progress here. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ali-shaw2
