Following an Appeal Inquiry, an Inspector has resolved to grant outline planning consent for 145 new dwellings in Meppershall, Bedfordshire. The Inspector had to consider the suitability of the site for development proposed in terms of its relationship with the existing settlement and the effect of the development on the character and appearance of the site and its surroundings. In terms of the former issue, the Inspector found that the development of the site would not have an unacceptable impact on local services and infrastructure. Equally, in terms of the latter issue the Inspector concluded that the development of the site would not amount to significant harm to the character and appearance of the site or the village as a whole.
Working on behalf of Gladman Developments, CSA provided masterplanning and landscape services on the project.
