CSA recently hosted their 21st birthday party, which was held in the stunning location of the top floor of the Gherkin in London on 29th April.
The party was a resounding success with over 100 people in attendance, which included clients’ old and new, consultants and barristers we have worked with closely over the past 21 years and, of course, CSA staff.
Over the past 21 years the company has grown from the founding member, Clive Self, to over 60 people. As the company has grown so has the range of services CSA provides. From the initial landscape and master planning base, ecology, urban design, heritage and arboricultural services have all been added. The addition of these services allows CSA to adopt a holistic and sensitive approach to developments, which provide net environmental gains and the creation of developments with a distinct sense of place.
Whilst the in-house disciplines typically all feed into the master planning process, they also undertake a wide range of commissions in their own right. These are very diverse, and by way of example, range from urban design appraisals and townscape assessments, to landscape planning evidence for airport expansions, ecological surveys of the East West Rail link and an assessment of the setting of a World Heritage site.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly Manager Director Clive Self’s speech. Clive recounted a number of amusing stories from over the years and thanked everybody in attendance for their support of CSA. His speech took place to the stunning backdrop of the setting sun over London, which made the evening all the more special for those in attendance. Again we would like to thank everybody who has supported CSA over the past 21 years.
