Outline Planning Permission Granted – Land at Lewis Lane, Arlesey

LinkedIn

We were delighted to hear that Taylor Wimpey Strategic Land have been successful in securing a resolution to grant outline planning permission for a residential housing scheme for up to 80 dwellings, public open space and associated infrastructure on land at Lewis Lane, Arlesey. The site lies between the eastern settlement boundary of Arlesey and is identified in Central Bedfordshire’s emerging Local Plan under reference HAS01 adjacent to Arlesey Cross, an allocated mixed use development of up to 1,000 dwellings and 10 hectares of employment land.

CSA’s Landscape Planners and Ecologists worked alongside the wider team in this landscape led-scheme. The scheme seeks to retain existing hedgerows, deliver new landscaping and public open space, and build a strong connection to the adjoining open space at Arlesey Cross. A community orchard, wildflower grassland and a wildlife pond are proposed to provide ecological benefits, as well as to provide natural recreational spaces for new residents.
