Covid-19: How it’s affecting our work at CSA

LinkedIn

As ever, the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff, clients and those in the public sector is our top priority as we strive to maintain our normal high levels of service.

We have implemented a series of measures following government guidelines to ensure we can continue to deliver our services and minimise disruption, without increasing risks for our employees or the wider community.

Employees working from home – You will be able to contact any of our offices on the usual landline numbers (diverted where necessary), as well as reaching individuals via mobiles or email.

Nearly all our staff are working from home but systems are in place such that our employees have full access to files and software. Some staff have been temporarily furloughed but all project work is fully covered.

Carrying out site visits – In line with Government guidance, we are being very careful over what site visit we undertake and trying to keep these to an absolute minimum. We are assessing requirements on a case by case basis and trying to postpone or alter what we do wherever we can. Where work is essential to keeping important projects on track we are proceeding with visits providing we are satisfied these can be completed without significant risk.

We are following guidance from our professional institutes and completing task specific risk assessments. It goes with saying that ware taking all necessary precautions including maintaining an appropriate distance from others, washing hands regularly, wearing gloves and so forth.

Report limitations – Increasingly, organisations that we need to consult for records/information are closed and as such the content of some reports may need to be adjusted to reflect the available resources. Any such limitations will be clearly acknowledged; updates may need to be made at a later date.

Meetings – Meetings we would normally attend have almost entirely converted to conference/video calls. Meetings would almost always be considered non-essential travel.

We continue to monitor things closely and will keep clients fully informed of any issue/implications arising for their projects/sites.

If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact any member of the CSA team.
