Appeal Success at Ratby

CSA are pleased to announce that the Inspectorate has allowed Gladman Development’s appeal in Hinckley and Bosworth District for up to 225 dwellings at Land off Desford Lane, Ratby.

CSA provided heritage, archaeology, landscape, ecology and masterplanning services to inform an outline planning application.

This collaborative approach allowed a development to be brought forward which took into account the various constraints and opportunities within the site. Mitigation measures included provision for a view corridor towards a nearby Grade II* listed church, located within Ratby Conservation Area. CSA provided heritage expert witness services at appeal.

On heritage matters, the Inspector concluded that “the public benefits of the development would easily outweigh the very limited harm caused to the significance of both the church and the conservation area”.
