CSA are pleased to announce that planning permission has been granted for Porritt Care Village in Ramsbottom for our client Millennium Care Group.
A complex Green Belt planning submission (which required very special circumstances) driven by a motive and purpose to design a unique and special place for people with dementia to thrive in at Porritt Care Village.
CSA Environmental were instructed to provide landscape services, including LVIA and Green Belt Assessment, and landscape design in the form of a landscape strategy and design statement for the project.
The Care Village will provide:
Woodland walking trail together with enhancing connections to the wider public footpath infrastructure to promote the benefits of spending time in nature
Household model of care with the design centred on having therapeutic benefits for people with dementia, supporting those in later life to reduce their reliance on medication through holistic and non-pharmacological interventions
Intergenerational roof top terrace spaces connecting young and old, including areas for horticultural therapy
Bird watching hut on the roof top terrace with opportunities for star gazing at night
