That’s quite an easy question to answer: our experienced and dedicated multi-disciplinary team, which enables us to offer complementary environmental services to our clients, carefully co-ordinated under one roof. Our Director of Masterplanning, Rob Rasberry, explains below how his team are often the linchpin helping to facilitate smooth communications and project delivery.
“Ever since I was a young, fresh faced masterplanner in the early 2000’s, a diagram contained within the report Towards an Urban Renaissance has consistently resonated with me. The report was published in 1999 by the then Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions, and was prepared by the Urban Task Force who were chaired by Lord Rogers of Riverside.
The diagram in question shows how an integrated, well-designed masterplan is dependent on an integrated design team. The masterplanner is shown as being central to this design approach with several disciplines feeding into the masterplan process. It is this approach to design that underpins how we approach our masterplanning projects at CSA.
One of the key advantages of working with CSA is that our masterplan team will always work closely with the client, the local planning authority, and other technical disciplines and consultants, whether they are our inhouse ecology, heritage and landscape teams, or external consultants. Our inhouse teams work closely together on projects and are in constant communication with each other, meaning that our masterplans respond effectively to the ecological, heritage and landscape characteristics of a site. It is this close working relationship that is key to creating the best masterplan possible, which successfully balances environmental, social and economic outcomes.”
