Carbon Offsetting
At CSA we acknowledge the importance of climate change and are committed to assessing, reducing and offsetting the company’s carbon footprint.
Working in conjunction with Carbon Footprint Ltd, we have assessed our greenhouse emissions and are offsetting these through supporting projects preventing unplanned deforestation in the Amazon, maintaining biodiversity in Cambodia, and promoting improved cookstoves in Nigeria. These projects not only contribute to CO2 assimilation from the atmosphere, but also provide biodiversity and socio-economic benefits and also enhancement of the local landscape. We also support tree planting work in the UK.
CSA Environmental has been assessed under the Carbon Footprint Standard and qualifies as a Carbon Reduced Organisation.
Charitable Involvements
CSA is currently supporting the following charities:
Off The Fence
A charity which supports many clients across Brighton & Hove including the homeless, women in difficulty and vulnerable school children.
Papyrus
A charity is dedicated to the prevention of suicide, promotion of positive mental health and emotional well-being in young people.
Bloom Sheffield
The charity’s focus is a community garden for women and girls in Sheffield, promoting positive mental health through therapeutic horticulture.
Grove Cottage
A charity that provides social and educational activities for people of all ages with a learning disability to develop their potential and avoid social isolation.
Garden House Hospice
A local charity providing free, compassionate end of life care and support to patients and their families in the communities of North Hertfordshire, Stevenage and surrounding towns and villages in Central Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
Trees for Cities
A charity working at a national and international scale to improve lives by planting trees in cities.
CSA also supports a range of other charities each year, often selected as a result of local links with staff or in connection with charity fundraising by our clients.
