Clare joined CSA in 2006 as part of the Worcestershire ecology team, before relocating to establish the Sussex Office in 2015. Clare is also part of CSA’s Management Team.
Clare is an experienced habitat and protected species surveyor, and holds Natural England class licences in relation to bats, great crested newts and dormice. She is a skilled consultant, leading Ecological Impact Assessment and Habitats Regulations Assessment work for commercial, private and Local Authority clients. She is used to working as part of multidisciplinary design and technical teams, with the aim of achieving benefits for biodiversity alongside development.
Clare has held a number of protected species mitigation licences, and regularly oversees the implementation of complex mitigation and enhancement projects. She is an accredited River Condition Assessment surveyor, undertaking this work alongside UKHab surveys to inform Biodiversity Net Gain assessment and design. Clare also provides expert witness services.
Clare is a Chartered Ecologist and a Full member of CIEEM; taking on the role of Vice Convenor for South-East CIEEM members group for several years.
