CSA were appointed to undertake a building inspection and bat roost emergence/return surveys at a Grade II listed Georgian residence in Oxfordshire. Development proposals involve the demolition of several outbuildings, construction of a new annex, and refurbishment of the roof of the main house. Survey work identified four common pipistrelle day roosts in association with the roofs of three buildings. CSA successfully obtained a European Protected Species licence on behalf of the client to enable the legal demolition of the relevant outbuildings and refurbishment of the roof of the main house.
