Following the production of an archaeological desk-based assessment for a proposed residential scheme a geophysical survey and an earthwork survey identified the presence of a medieval bank and ditch earthwork. Following a scheme of trial trenching it was agreed that the earthwork should be preserved in-situ within an area of public open space.
Planning consent for 52 units was granted in 2015. CSA also provided ecological and landscape advice, preparing detailed reports on all three topics in support of the successful planning application.
