Experienced in the production of technical reports to support planning applications, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEA), Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA), Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments and effective mitigation/management strategies. Natural England licensed surveyor for great crested newts (level 1) and bats (level 2), with experience in the production and implementation of European Protected Species (EPS) licences. Tom has broad experience with both small and large scale residential and commercial developments and infrastructure projects. Tom is a trained and accredited River Condition Assessment surveyor for Biodiversity Net Gain and has a wide range of experience in BNG assessments of varying scales and complexities, from high-level feasibility studies through to detailed assessments, the completion of habitat condition assessments and advising on off-site land options to maximise biodiversity value.
